What is it?

Enamel is the hard exterior coating of a tooth. An Enameloplasty is a cosmetic procedure when the outer layer of the tooth is reshaped. This gives the tooth a smoother and sometimes a more youthful appearance.

Enameloplasty is a common solution when teeth are lightly chipped, uneven, pointed, or contain minor bumps in the enamel.

What can I expect during my appointment?

The procedure is simple and no anesthesia is needed. Dr. Merlino uses a handpiece to gently reshape and smooth one or more of your teeth. The results can be like having had orthodontics for months!
